Jen Pahlka on her new role as founder of Code for America, the new role developers play in democracy and the importance of their involvement.

He spent the first part of his professional career inside the Beltway before moving to the San Francisco Bay Area, where he has worked in and now advises start-up companies, businesses and government on product, content, Web, branding and social media strategy.
